The allegations stem from claims that Meta collects personal information from users \u2013 even when they are not logged in and have disabled tracking in their browser. Numerous courts consider this a clear violation of the GDPR, which can justify claims for reimbursement of up to \u20ac10,000.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Meta-tracking: How user data is stored covertly<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Using proprietary tools like the &#8220;Meta Pixel&#8221; and the &#8220;Conversion API,&#8221; website visitors are identified and their data\u2014including IP addresses, device information, browsing behavior, and interests\u2014is recorded and linked to Facebook or Instagram profiles. This often happens without valid consent.<\/p>\n\n<p>Even when accessing well-known platforms like <strong>Spiegel.de, Airbnb, Parship, or Wahl-O-Mat,<\/strong> tracking may be activated \u2013 without users being informed. This means Meta violates fundamental principles of the GDPR, such as the lawfulness and transparency of data processing.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Courts rule against Meta \u2013 Numerous lawsuits successful<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In more than 500 cases, German local and regional courts have already ordered Meta to pay damages ranging from \u20ac1,000 to \u20ac10,000 and to delete unlawfully collected data.
